Video games, social media, Netflix; the list goes on. I’m not a fan.
Why not? Let’s just say that I’m a bit old school. When I grew up, back in the day, I was always playing outside with my neighborhood friends. We’d be playing hide and seek, soccer, basketball; you name it. I loved playing outside and being active with my best buddies.
Times have changed during the last two decades. Kids hardly play outside anymore. They prefer to play video games or scroll through their Facebook feeds. Soccer balls have been replaced by smartphones, tablets, and giant TV screens.
Why Blaster Central?
I firmly believe that home laser tag guns, Nerf blasters, or any toy gun, can get kids active again. As an adult, I am still a huge fan of laser tag, and I love spending the occasional lazy Sunday afternoon modifying the latest Nerf blasters.
I also have kids, and I adore them. I want them to experience childhood as I experienced it; being active and social with other kids. And that’s where Nerf and laser tag come in. Shooting around with sophisticated toy blasters is fun, exciting, social, and even educational.
