First released in 2019 as part of the Fortnite series, this TS-R Super Soaker is a triggerless pump-action soaker machine.
The reservoir cap is located on the rear of the soaker, and it provides access to a tank that can hold up to 36 fluid ounces (1 liter) of water.
While the TS-R Super Soaker may not have the largest reservoir, this is a super fun blaster with a smooth pump firing mechanism and a great design.

2. Nerf Super Soaker Soakzooka
Released in 2018, the Soakzooka deserves to be included in this list for its name alone. If you want to completely drench your enemies, the Nerf Super Soaker Soakzooka is the only water blaster you will need.
The biggest drawcard of the Soakzooka is its massive tank, which can hold up to 55 fluid ounces (1.6 liters) of water. Then all you need to do is pull the ergonomic handle back and forth to offer your friends a free shower. Bring it!

3. Nerf Super Soaker Twin Tide
Surprise your enemies with two different water streams! The 2018 Twin Tide can carry up to 33 fluid ounces (0.975 liters) of water blasted through two barrels for double soakage.
Also take note of the size of this water blaster. It’s by no means heavy, but with a length of almost 15 inches, the Twin Tide has quite an intimidating appearance.

4. Nerf Super Soaker Hydra Water
The exciting Hydra Water is a relatively big high-airflow manual plunger water gun that can carry no less than 65 fluid ounces (1.9 liters) of water.
And with that large water tank, the Hydra is also the largest Nerf water gun on this list. Firing water is very easy; simply pump the handle back and forth to pour powerful streams of water toward your water war enemies.
The Hydra not only has the largest water tank, but it is also one of the heaviest Nerf Super Soakers around, weighing in at almost 1 kg. It’s not super heavy by any means, but this water blaster may not be the best choice for little kids.

The Breach Blast is an all-around well-performing Super Soaker with a firing range of 38 feet and a water reservoir that can hold 50 fluid ounces (1.48 liters) of water.
The reason why the reservoir is so big is that the blaster is designed such that the handle can also carry water.
The refilling and pump action of the Breach Blast is also easy and ergonomic, which makes this water gun an excellent addition to your collection of Nerf Super Soakers.

What Are Nerf Super Soakers?
Contrary to what people may think, Nerf is not the inventor of the Super Soaker brand. Toy manufacturer Larami came up with the name in the late 80s.
Lonnie Johnson
An interesting fact in this story is that the actual inventor of the Super Soaker water gun is a gentleman named Lonnie Johnson, a former NASA engineer who worked on some big projects such as the Space Shuttle.
In his spare time, Lonnie enjoyed inventing things. And one of his hobby inventions was a high-power water gun which he first prototyped in 1982.
It wasn’t until 1989 that he came in touch with Larami, who was keen to bring this water gun to market.
Power Drencher
The very first water gun they produced was called the Power Drencher, a name that captured the essence of the product quite well. A couple of years later, the water gun was rebranded to Super Soaker and has been a great success ever since.
Nerf’s parent company, Hasbro, purchased Larami in 1995 and, as such, became the owner of the Super Soaker brand.
Since then, Nerf has successfully produced lots of awesome water guns in the Super Soaker series, with hopefully many more to come.
Final Thoughts
Water blasters will always be popular because they are so much fun for all ages. And Nerf has done an excellent job keeping the Super Soaker brand alive by continuously designing new and unique water blasters.
While water guns, in general, may look very simple, the technology behind the original Super Soaker prototype was actually quite sophisticated.
